Republican Party seems as divided, angry as ever

Tea-Party-MovementBOSTON (AP) – The Republican Party seems as divided and angry as ever.

Infighting has penetrated the highest levels of the House GOP leadership. Long-standing geographic tensions have increased, pitting endangered Northeastern Republicans against their colleagues from other parts of the country. Enraged tea party leaders are threatening to knock off dozens of Republicans who supported a measure that raised taxes on the nation’s highest earners.

“People are mad as hell. I’m right there with them,” Amy Kremer, chairman of the Tea Party Express, said late last week, declaring that she has “no confidence” in the party her members typically support. Her remarks came after GOP lawmakers agreed to higher taxes but no broad spending cuts as part of a deal to avert the “fiscal cliff.”

“Anybody that voted ‘yes’ in the House should be concerned” about primary challenges in 2014, she said. SOURCE

This story says a lot in the 1st four paragraphs; it tells the truth about the mood of the GOP, it illustrates exactly WHY I am not a member of the GOP and it points out that the TEA Party is waiting until it’s too late to take a swing at that *fast ball* the Democrats AND mainstream GOP know that the TEA Party can’t hit, and keep on throwing to them.

If you were ever a baseball player or if you follow baseball you’ll understand that one.

I actually agree with Amy Kremer on this one, ALL GOP Representatives that voted YES on the *fiscal cliff* deal with Obama and Company need to be removed in 2014. Of that there is NO doubt.

I still hear people asking, “How in the world did a guy like Barack Obama ever get elected and then get re-elected?”

The answer is quite simple actually; in 2008 and 2012 the GOP ran the most pathetic, the weakest and the most unelectable tickets imaginable. When the GOP put forth a ticket of McCain/Palin I was one of the 1st to say, “that’s a weak ticket and one that will be hard to win with.”

My longtime readers KNOW how I felt about McCain/Palin, like any other subject I take on in the blog; I was VERY vocal and honest in my opinions on the electability of those candidates.

The Democrats ran a candidate that NOTHING was known about, ran his as if he were the Second Coming of Christ and a Rock Star all rolled into one, they played BIG on the fact that Obama was BLACK, even though he is only PART BLACK, and they threw *The RACE CARD* any time someone spoke out against Obama in an effort to further this thing called *white guilt*.

The American voters fell for it; hook, line and sinker.

Fast forward to 2012 and look at what the GOP offered up as candidates; a field made up of *weak sister* types that generated about as much excitement as watching paint dry.

Now, re-read the part above right after “How in the world did a guy like Barack Obama ever get elected and then get re-elected?” and think 2012, there is your answer.

The GOP is a joke! Michael Steele was a *token* Black Man, he was a *weak sister* type right from the start. He inspired NO confidence, he wasn’t a leader, his political acumen was not what I would call *good enough* to be the Chairman of the RNC and I have to say, the 1st election of Barack Obama was as much him (Steele) as it was anything or anyone else.

Then we get Reince Priebus as the new Chairman. Need I say more?

What’s largely causing the dissension? A lack of a clear GOP leader with a single vision for the party.

Again I point out these 2 words: Reince Priebus…

Let me say this, and I direct my words to ALL that consider themselves to be TEA Party members and GOP members; LEADERSHIP is everything! The GOP lacks leadership and the TEA Party apparently doesn’t believe in it, not any kind of strong leadership.

You can’t lead a nation, a political party, a company or a grassroots movement without a LEADER. You can’t lead by *suggestion*, you can have input from your members, as well you should, but ultimately, a STRONG leader has to emerge, one that will hear and listen to those suggestions, but in the end, that LEADER must make the final decision as to what is right and which way is the BEST way for his/her group to go. That is what a real leader does.

Here is where term limits, the power of the vote and RECALL come into play; IF that leader doesn’t listen to suggestions and goes on to make some horrendous decisions, well, the people are left with no other choice but to remove that particular leader from a position of power and replace him/her with a new leader.

Just make sure you don’t replace BAD or WEAK leaders with ones that are worse. That applies to the GOP/RNC, the TEA Party and most any other type of organization.
